The massage school does not guarantee any of its graduates that they will become employed as a result of the training. Below are the different aspects of the school’s service:

1. Massage Students will undergo a job placement entrance interview or orientation, with IMTC. This will introduce the School’s job placement department and procedures to the student. At this time the student will complete a questionnaire regarding their job placement needs.
2. IMTC will then begin contacting employers that the student list as companies of interest as well as companies within the same geographical area as the student zip code, as provided by the student during the initial placement interview process.
3. IMTC will then post job openings and assist the student contacting prospective employers.
4. Students can elect to contact job placement via toll free telephone number and or through the internet.
5. Upon a student’s successful completion of the program, the school will give each graduate a list of potential employers that have requested to be on our school’s list.
6. Job Placement Services consists of referring graduates of the school to potential employers who may or may not have immediate openings. It must be clearly understood that these referrals do not guarantee employment.
7. Students accepts full responsibility for meeting the mental, physical and other requirements for passing any industry standards, or employer requirements for qualifying as employee in the massage industry. Generally, a student with a minimum of a high school diploma, in good health, both mentally and physically, drug-free, and clean record will meet most employer qualifications.

CEUs AND REFRESHER COURSES

• CEUs are advance classes only.
• Students that want to take a CEU need to provide credentials from previous training, unless that training was at IMTC.

SIGNIFICANT DATES

NOTE: Potential students are advised to check with all appropriate regulatory agencies to confirm completion of the program/course offered by the Integrated Massage Therapy College will satisfy initial or renewal licensing or certification requirements of that agency.

REQUIREMENTS
• Provide proof of identification in a form of a driver’s license, social security card, or birth certificate.
• A student must have a High school diploma or a GED.
• A student must be at least 18 years of age.
• The student may be refused admission do to a felony.
• The above admission requirements may prevent a graduate from obtaining employment, and therefore, may be deemed as barriers to admission to the school.
• Admission may still be granted to applicants who do not meet the above requirements, if the school determines the applicant is capable of obtaining employment upon graduation. For example, applicant may be required to provide substantial evidence that employment opportunities exist regardless of the above admission requirements.
• The school will make this determination on a case-by-case basis.

PROCEDURES
• Submit a complete enrollment packet.
• Present proof of identification.
• Attend an admission’s interview.
• Applicants may apply any time prior to enrollment.

ACCEPTING TRANSFERS AND CREDIT
• Students coming in with previous training from another establishment may submit, in writing along with completed course information, to the school Director. IMTC will evaluate the transfer to determine if and how much can be transferred.
• IMTC does not guarantee the transferability of its credits to any other institution unless there is a written agreement with that institution to accept IMTC hours.
• If you are planning to continue your education with another school after you earn your hours from IMTC, you should check with that school regarding credit/hour transfer policies.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION
• Instruction and training takes place at the School’s facility and/or designated training facility.
• Classroom and Internship may take place in separate locations, as deemed necessary by the school.
• Classroom and/or lecture training may take place in a classroom/lecture environment and/or intern site.
• The number of students per class range from 4 to 30 students.
• Generally, classes will receive orientation training as a single group; however, the school may deem it appropriate to divide the class size into smaller units.
• Training may take place in a variety of academic environments including but not limited to: lecture, hands-on, lab, and internship.
• Faculty are experienced and qualified in each of their respective areas of study.
• Faculty is encouraged to utilize teaching techniques to meet course objectives.
• Teaching strategies may vary with each instructor.
• Lab is structured where students are organized into groups.
• Maximum student to instructor ratios are as follows: classroom instruction – 30:1.
• The normal training day runs approximately 12 hours with 1 hour lunch break.
• Fridays are half days from 7am-1pm with weeknds off.
• Changes in training schedules may occur due to major holidays, weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.

HOUSING AND TRANSPORTATION

IMTC will help students, that are not local, obtain housing for the duration of their program.

If the student does not have transportation they will be able to easily utilize public transportation.

The school has transportation information available to students upon request.

CHILD CARE

At this time child care is not available, but will be added at a later date for students that do not have someone to keep their children through the week. A student will be provided with a list of child care centers in the area upon request.

IMTC offers a number of options to assist students in pursuit of a career with quality education.

One option is a ten percent discount to students that pay the total amount prior to the start of class.

The other option is an interest free school payment plan.

All students qualify for this payment method upon admittance regardless of their credit history.

For example, after the down payment is made the remainder balance will be paid by making monthly payments. All monies must be paid upon enrollment and prior to the start date, unless an approved plan has been set up through the school and then only the down payment is due.

Although we work very hard to make education affordable, diplomas will not be awarded until the student’s tuition (as well as any other related charges due) is paid.

The student, however, will receive their National Association of Common Massage Practice certifications with each completion of study. Students are urged to visit with a financial aid officer to find the best method of payment.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS
IMTC offers different levels for massage practice. Each level includes the basics and fundamentals of therapeutic massage, the higher the level, the increase in course content and number of certifications.

> The school recommends that the student evaluate each level carefully to determine which one better helps the student to accomplish his or her goals or suits the area that the student will be practicing in. For example, Texas requires a specific number of hours in certain subjects. To meet this requirement a student who wants to be licensed/certified in the state of Texas will need to enroll in Level 4.

CERTIFICATES AND RECOGNITION

• ITMC elects to award academic achievement based upon hours as a unit of measurement.
• The school utilizes a performance based learning model; whereas, performance objectives reflect minimum competencies for individual courses, and those skills that must be performed by the student before moving to the next level of instruction.
• Upon completion of the program the student will receive certificates for that level and a diploma.
